Lovense Edge 2 vs. We-Vibe Vector – Prostate Vibrator Head-to-Head

Between 2 big-names for app control: the Lovense prostate vibrator vs. We-Vibe prostate vibrator – which one produces the best results?

The answer isn’t clear-cut if you’re considering between the Lovense Edge 2 and We-Vibe Vector Plus. It depends on when and where you want to wear a prostate massager. Our takeaways after testing both Edge 2 and Vector Plus’s app-controlled vibration:

How to Use Lovense Edge vs. We-Vibe Vector

After owning these two for 2 years total (8 months for Vector, 16 months for Edge 2), I’m certain this is how each toy performs best:

  • Lovense Edge (2) for prostate orgasms at home. It’s the best, strongest prostate vibrator, no question. Either lie on your side, on your bed, and lightly kegel or follow a Super-O mental method (with deep breathing and sensation awareness). Or, sit on the Lovense Edge, on a flat chair and rock your hips slightly, building up and minding P-spot focused feelings this way too. If stuck, you can jerk off – the prostate vibration will make your orgasm 100% stronger. “Long-distance” control by my girlfriend is possible when we’re not together – the video-calls are so hot, when she’s got her toy connected to the vibration as well.
  • We-Vibe Vector+ for prostate vibrating teasing. Vector is more wearable outside (lighter-weight – see the dimensions below), so we do this sometimes when walking together. She gets the remote control. It’s fun, I like it. It’s not orgasmic for me – I just enjoy the vibration lower-key. We-Vibe Vector does make me cum harder later, if we go back home and have sex quickly thereafter; I seem to ejaculate more volume.

Lovense Edge 2 Dimensions vs. We-Vibe Vector Plus Dimensions

The We-Vibe Vector +/Plus is more beginner sized (than Lovense Edge is). You may be able to use the Vector as a first butt plug, comfortably. But it’s worth picking up a silicone trainer kit just in case, so you can train your sphincter muscles via a more-tapered plug (easiest to insert).

The Lovense Edge 2 is early-intermediate sized. Do not expect to use it comfortably as a 1st anal sex toy; you’re likely to cause tears and overexert your sphincter muscles that way.

Lovense Edge vs. We-Vibe Vector – Similar yet different.

First the similarities between both app controlled prostate vibrators, Lovense vs. We-Vibe:

Shared Pros. Both P-spot vibrators are adjustable.

  • You can bend the prostate-seeking bulb on both Lovense Edge 2 and We-Vibe Vector+, so it angles inward or outward more. This adds more pressure, or slightly more depth.
  • Adjustable custom vibration intensity, for both Edge and Vector.
  • Dual motors (for prostate and perineum) for both.
  • Both are silicone-coated. You can use oil-based lubricant, X-Lube, or water-based or hybrid lubricant.
  • Both are app controlled. But that brings us to a contrast:

The big differences: App control connectivity and wearability.

  • Edge 2 has better app control. The Lovense app stays connected, while the We-vibe Connect app usually cuts out at least once an hour – meaning its Bluetooth connection to the primary phone disconnects. We-Connect’s long-distance connection (with another person) is even less stable. Pairing with your partner long-distance may glitch.
  • But, the Vector Plus has a separate remote control. If you like its size, you can use the remote instead of the phone app.
  • Ironically, Edge 2 is difficult to wear outside the house. (Ironic because its app control stays connected better.) The reason: Edge 2’s larger base is weighty, pulling the prostate plug outward more. As you walk, it begins to slip out. I especially can’t have worn a larger, wider silicone plug within the past 24 hours, or it’s wanting to leave my rectum quickly. So, Edge 2 is best for sitting on at home. Where I will continue to use it, because:
  • Lovense Edge 2 is stronger, hands-down. The vibration is just more powerful vs. We-Vibe Vector. Edge’s bulb is bigger, too. Its perineum vibrator is much stronger.
  • Edge 2’s silicone layer is thicker and more compressable, especially in bulb #2. This is advantageous for comfort.

Lovense Edge 2’s extended base = strong perineum vibration (and a good pressure-point), but makes it harder to walk while wearing.

How to Adjust Lovense Edge for Prostate Stimulation

The prostate’s precise location does vary person-to-person. Some people are taller, some are shorter. Others have longer distance vs. the median, even if they’re not tall.

That you can adjust where the Lovense Edge 2’s bulb rests, then, is a smart feature. It’s not infinitely adjustable, but it can bend ≈35° and change insertable length by +/– 0.9 inches.

How to adjust Lovense Edge2 for prostate massage

To “pose” or adjust the bulb: Grip the Lovense Edge’s base with your dominant hand. Then grip the bulb with your dominant (right?) hand, and apply pressure either toward or away from the base. It will bend gradually.

App Control – Lovense vs. We-Vibe

Lovense app verdict

My girlfriend and I have tried 4 vibrator apps together now, and agree Lovense has the best one, undoubtedly.

The Lovense app is a good user experience to play with. Pairing a Lovense vibrator with the app has always been streamlined, no glitches. Easy to find everything. One exception: You might have to look for a minute for the user-created patterns selection. It’s located under Discover > Patterns.

Best, the long-distance control doesn’t cut out. We can also play interconnected when we’re not together.

The first time we used the app, we’d been dating for 2 months weeks. I’d learned she didn’t have an aversion to anal like my previous partner, indeed, she thinks the idea of railing me anally is awesome. So I got to send her the control link for the Edge (original) I owned, after she created a profile in the Lovense app. (You don’t have to give your real name, you make up a username and verify with any email address you have access to.) And…wow:

I still remember how electrified I was after that first time. We were video-calling as she jiggled the Lovense Edge 2’s control slider up-and-down, for waves of vibration; her shirt up. After 10 minutes I shot cum so hard, it flew up onto my shirt.

Three screens in the Lovense app. First is the homepage; then, the “Remote” option for customizing the vibration levels; last, Discover>Patterns, where u find lots of rolling patterns for Edge 2.

Today, she has the Dolce and Lush – she thinks the Dolce is a better G-spot vibrator (than Lush3). You can hold Dolce and jerk it like a dildo, whereas Lush just sits there and is hard to move on. So, she’ll connect her Dolce to her phone, while I connect the Edge 2 to my phone.

To play together with 2 Lovense vibrators:

  1. once you’re connected, you’ll see the chat/text screen,
  2. hit the + icon to the right of the text-box. Options will pop up.
  3. Press the “Sync” feature. (Whereas you’d press “Live” if only 1 partner has a vibrator to be controlled by the other.)
  4. Now your vibrators are synced, so they’re vibrating at the same rhythm + intensity.

When we’re in the app together and feeling the same vibration, at the same time: I let her turn it up. It’s hot. 🔥🔥Hottest when we’re in the video feature within the app, so we’re seeing each other too. I like watching her crank up the power as she gets more turned on. It’s a more intimate thing versus if I’m playing alone with the Njoy Pure Wand (the god-tool for prostate orgasms), and sometimes I come hard on the Edge 2. A hands-free wet orgasm is more likely, vs. an extended hands-free dry one with Pure Wand (or Aneros).

Other times, I don’t reach climax, yet still am very into the time because I get to watch her (very distracting, 😛). Good times, good times. We do this once every week or two, depending on our schedules.

We-Vibe app verdict

I do dig the We-Vibe Vector’s vibration too. I don’t find it as strong in the end. But Vector is a better beginner toy, due to its smaller size. It does “rumble” with vibration, the whole plug shaking.

We don’t mind using the Vector as prostate warmup toy, for her to control. We’ve gone walking together as I wore the Vector. (We’re big on hour-long walks on the weekend.) But, after doing this once with the We-Vibe Connect app, we switched over to the remote.

We Vibe Vector app control prostate vibrator vs. Lovense Edge 2 app control prostate vibrator
WeVibe Vector+ with its remote control, left; vs. Lovense Edge2’s size, right.

You can use the remote separately (without needing the app). If you like the Vector Plus, do do that,

Since the We-Vibe app’s bluetooth signal just hasn’t stayed stable for us. Once we were 2 feet or less apart, walking side-by-side on a path. The We-Vibe app cut out before 3 minutes had passed. Having to reach my hand down into my boxers – to find the control button on Vector’s base – made me nervous about being seen. (You have to hold the power button down for 10 full seconds to “restart” the vibrator.)

We re-paired after. It took the app a minute to reestablish the connection. Then we were rolling again. The vibrator’s perineum stimulation is good, running in the background. Another 15 minutes in, the app control just cut off for no reason I could tell. I wore it as a static non-vibrating plug after that, having left the Vector’s vibrator remote control back at her place.

How to have a prostate orgasm with Lovense Edge

If you’re seeking a Lovense Edge prostate orgasm, here are tips for reaching that hands-free O.

  1. First, understand your mind is the real tool – even more important than the sex toy. You have to learn you can’t pound your prostate to orgasm / just vibrate it harder to make it cum. It’s good to develop a P-spot technique, involving deep breathing and sensation awareness, to maximize your ability to reach a Super O.
  2. Enjoyment is key: Think positively about how the vibration feels good, vs. fixating on just reaching orgasm. Play around with the vibration patterns. Tease your nipples, perhaps. Relax and enjoy.
  3. If seeking a pure hands-free prostate orgasm, best practice is to not stroke your penis while using the Lovense Edge2. This can distract from the flow, and lessen the intensity of the prostate stimulation. However, if you find yourself pressed for time and wanting to wrap up a session, it makes sense to masturbate your dick then – you’re likely to cum a lot harder than usual. If you do this all the time, though, it’ll become a habit that’s tough to break, and may distract from achieving a hands-free O (either wet or dry).

Personally, I have hands-free wet orgasms more often with the Edge – vs. with the Pure Wand or Aneros, where extensive dry orgasms are achievable when I’m relaxed. I like the Edge orgasms, they’re much stronger than penis-only orgasms, shaking legs and all. Though not as drawn-out (long) as HFDOs, they are amazing and take my brain explosive places.

Best positioning is to lie on your side or sit on a soft surface (towel underneath your bum). If you sit on a hard bathtub edge, it doesn’t happen all time – but occasionally I’ve rocked forward hard enough, moving my hips, to hit the Edge2’s power button and turn off the vibration. Hence, better to rock on a couch cushion to avoid the hard surface pressing this Lovense prostate vibrator’s angled button.

Yet, I know I’ve read enough times where other guys who love P-spot stimulation think prostate vibration is distracting. They tend to prefer non-vibrating Aneros prostate massagers.

Care, Cleaning, and Materials

You can use oil-based lubricant (extra virgin coconut oil) with either vibrating prostate plug. Water-based and hybrid lubricants are fine too: They wash off easily, but dry up faster than coconut oil or X-Lube. Full best-anal lubes list here.

To clean Edge 2: Wash it with soap and water, simple. Scrub harder and longer if you’re using coconut oil for lubricant. Just over 1 minute works. Any soap is fine; we like unscented soap.

Both Lovense Edge 2 and We-Vibe Vector are safely silicone coated, so you can only come into contact with the silicone exterior. (Except for the magnetic metallic charging nodes, which are on the underside of each prostate vibrator’s base, so they aren’t inserted.)

They’re each waterproof submersible, so getting them wet is no problem.

Which prostate vibrator is my favorite?

If I had to choose, I would go for the Lovense Edge 2 first. Its larger plug and 2 stronger motors are better for me vs. the slimmer Vector.

The Vector+ isn’t a bad plug by itself. It’s a better early butt plug size, 1.1″ max. diameter vs. Edge2’s 1.34″ diameter. Remember, narrower is easier at first. The We-Vibe Vector’s vibration is not weak. It’s just not as strong as the Lovense Edge.

We have found the We-Vibe connect app cuts out more – so its app control outside the house may find you frustrated, trying to reconnect. We’ve adjusted by just using the remote when I’m out. Still, I’m not as much into public vibration,

I prefer a good at-home vibrator where I can rest and concentrate on the ebb and flow of prostate sensation, circling round me. The Lovesense Edge 2 is the better toy for my purposes.
