I’ve got 5 top favorite sex toys, that take my ass places. And I’ve expanded to love being controlled with a few good vibrating butt plugs, too.
My All-time Favorite Anal Toys
- Egg Plug by SquarePegToys, so filling. Exquisite for all-day wear.
- Njoy Pure Wand. The prostate god. (But be gentle with yo’ hole.)
- Njoy Pure Plug 2.0. The prostate weight. Incredible pressure.
- Now tied: Uberrime Splendid dual-density for best prostate massage, slow-pace stroking. Steve, super-soft prostate dildo by SquarePeg for a stroking dildo that stays comfortable when moving fast. On a:
- Hismith fuck machines: the Premium machine! With stainless steel suction cup. Slow stroking to hard thrusts – take your time, enjoy! (For Uberrime Splendid, use 2 bands criss-crossed over the base to keep securely on the suction cup.)
These are my favorites for extended butt plug wear, for the most sensation-full prostate play, and thrusting sex recreation.
Favorite Vibrating Butt Plugs
Sometimes I like vibration too – different and interesting, and my partner can get involved with remote control vibrating butt plugs. Vibrating plugs make you turned on, and do add to penis stroking all the way. I most like these 3:
- Maia Devin spinning butt plug. This one is for the sphincter rotation, rotating right around the anal canal (the sensitive inch or two, right past the anus). Very fun; with jamming vibration too.
- Lovense Edge 2 long-distance control prostate vibrator. Just great to sync up with my girlfriend’s toy when we’re not together too. Good prostate pressure (and adjustable) for sitting on, not for walking in.
- P-Spot Automatic Massager. This is a lighter touch, repeated over and over for you. With vibration too, a nice extra. The massager-ball waves back and forth, up to 2 strokes per second. Just chill and let it stroke the spot. If shooting for HF prostate orgasms, you’ll want to have your P-spot mental technique down.
Anal Lubricant: My Go-To
For long-term plugging (article to come) I strongly suggest using virgin (unhydrogenated) coconut oil, available at any grocery store, as your lubricant. You can heat it for a short time – make sure it’s not hot! – if it’s solid at your room temperature.
To apply, either: 1. Use a clean spoon to scoop the oil over your butt plug. (Some will drip off.) 2. Inject the melted coconut oil into your rectum via a lube launcher or luer lock needle-free syringe (insert gently) prior to inserting your butt plug. 3. Or freeze it and make small coconut lube mini-pops you can insert anally, that will lube your hole as they melt. Or, buy unrefined liquid coconut oil, which is liquid even under 75°F.
Or, try X-Lube if you don’t like oil on underwear. More about anal lubricants here.
Classic Butt Plugs
These are the anal plugs I call “Classic Butt Plugs” because they’re well-designed series you can progress through. They’re wearable, popular, nontoxic materials. Each series has different advantages vs. disadvantages compared to the others. Link to full dimensions + design details.
- Egg Plugs (SquarePegToys). Supersoft silicone. Personal favorite for fullness.
- Pure Plugs (Njoy). 316 stainless steel. Heavier, most noticeable even in smaller sizes.
- b-Vibe Snug Plugs. Firm silicone over weighted metal balls. Thin neck lets your anal canal close around; good if you want secure wear but less stretch. (Sphincter closing = plug is less likely to slip out.)
- Blunt Plugs (SquarePegToys). SuperSoft silicone. Wider “neck” vs. Egg Plug for maintaining the sphincters open. Preferred for pre-thrusting warmup.
- Ergo plugs (Oxballs). Different silicones. Smoke Smoosh is super-soft (recommended). Platinum Swirl and “Black and Blue” are harder than SquarePeg’s Firmer density, and Blueballs Ergo is in-between. Chunkier shape vs. Egg Plug – filling, yet not as easy to wear long-term.
Vibrating plugs: Lovense Hush 2 (4 sizes), general wearable vibrating plug. Phone app control and long-distance control possible.
Prostate specific vibration: Lovense Edge 2 for prostate vibration with perineum motor too, strong yet harder to walk around wearing. We-Vibe Vector is securer to wear if you want a playful prostate vibe for wearing out – yet the app doesn’t stay connected well, so opt for the remote, also included.
Anal trainer kits: See the Anal Exerciser trainer 3-plug set, vs. the Mood Naughty 3-pack if you want to begin even smaller (0.83″ diameter vs. 1.08″ diameter for Anal Exerciser: see the last photo here).
A note on Aneros: the other classic P-spot toy type. Aneros are many guys’ favorite for HFDO (hands-free dry orgasms) or even the “super O.” Worth checking out if if you’re dedicated to a hands-free prostate orgasm – you may even find these P-spot massagers easier technique-wise vs. the Pure Wand, opinions vary. The anal stimulation from Aneros can be next-level, but is it gentler vs. a Pure Wand or thrusting machine.
With Aneros you’ll likely find the spot fast, but Aneros is more meditative and subtle – you need to get in the right headspace, and learn how to breathe so the plug moves with your body. I used Aneros toys almost religiously for a year, and did reach a hands-free P-spot O after several months (after a few near-misses before that!). The prolonged orgasms are just another level. I’ll write a post on Aneros vs. Pure Wand sometime soon – they’re different creatures, and you may prefer one over the other. Once I found my way with the Njoy Wand, it’s been my favorite prostate toy since, but I do return to the Progasm or MGX sometimes.
