The Snug Plug. Snug is right if by it you mean “stable,” because all Snug Plug sizes stay securely inserted. Walk around, wear them for many hours, bend and do yard work – the Snug Plug’s unlikely to accidentally un-insert itself.
It’s down to the Snug Plug’s design: its thinner, longer neck. That butt plug component allows the sphincter muscles to close tighter around the Snug Plug neck.
And the Snug Plug is the 1 other anal plug besides the Pure Plug where a weight column is needed – as the Snug Plug’s weighted balls change its impact during wear. The larger the Snug Plug, the heavier it weighs.
My Favorite Snug Plug
I have a favorite size for weight vs. wearability, where the weighted beads move most:
IMHO the size 5 Snug Plug is the best of the line. (Size 4 is good as well – and closer to a medium size accessible to anyone who’s trained to have anal sex.) The size 5 gives the most feel from the weighted balls during motion. The firm walls of the cylinder (under the smooth silicone) are less thick vs. the Snug Plug 6 or 7, so it seems the weighted bead has most room to move.

The sensation is neat if you lean forward quickly, jump, or stride fast. To lubricate: Apply virgin coconut oil either directly into your rectum. Or coat the Snug Plug well, and apply more liquid oil to the bottom of the bulb as needed. Then, wearing Snug Plugs for many hours is most fun. (Less dry!)
Dimensions – Full Size Specifications for b-Vibe Snug Plugs.
b-Vibe Snug Plugs’ diameter, insertable length, neck width and length – for each of the 7 weighted plugs by b-Vibe. b-Vibe’s own measurements are pretty close here, but I’ve added more specs like neck length. “Circumference” is abbreviated to “Circ.” below, and “Diameter” to “Diam.”. Besides the weight, all measurements given in inches. Multiply by 2.54 to get cm.
Snug Plug Size | Diam. (bulb) | Insert. Length | Total Weight (grams / ounces = pounds) | Neck Diam. | Neck Length | Total Length | Circ. (bulb) |

Snug Plug Design: Why They Work for All-Day
Arguably, the Snug Plug is the best plug for all-day wear (for many people).
- Snug Plugs begin with a slight taper. A rounded triangular tip, that segues into the cylindrical body below. The taper moves fast. You’ll likely require fingers/a smaller toy first if sizing up significantly. (It’s not a long, drawn-out pyramid that gives your anus + sphincters more time to expand.)
- Then we meet the widest point: the cylindrical girth of the Snug Plug’s bulb. This is where you feel the Snug Plug’s weighted balls primarily. They roll inside, jiggling if one walks fast while Snug-Plugging.
- After the cylinder, we have a mirror-image taper: the drop-off into the Snug Plug neck.
- The neck is the key component that makes Snug Plugs easier to wear. They are very firm – not super-soft silicone like the Egg Plugs. Yet, the slender neck enables hours-long wear, or more. The anal sphincters (two sets of muscles, surrounding the anal canal right above the anal) must be stretched gradually, and can tire. Since the Snug Plug neck is so skinny, it lets those muscles close. And you still have the weight up above in the rectum, yet your sphincters aren’t maxxed out (if you’re not used to long butt plug wear). Still, always heed your body’s signals: If your butt sends discomfort signals after prolonged wear, remove your Snug Plug for a rest.
- Last, the base is a large yet slim anchor. It’s wide and fits well in the butt crack. (So the bars of the “T”-base run parallel to your crack.) No slipping in, here.

How to Pick Size for Your 1st b-Vibe Snug Plug
As with any butt plug selection, your experience level is critical to consider.
- If you’re new to anal play: A silicone trainer kit will be easier to insert, slowly, vs. a Snug Plug. Good trainer kits have more taper, for gradual sphincter expansion and training. It’s great to work up through such a kit over the course of a month. The Snug Plug size 1 also feels less weighted vs. any other Snug, very small. Snug Plug size 2 is the minimum size I think is worth the cost.
- If you’d had (comfortable) anal sex with an average girth (1.5″ diameter) toy or penis: Snug Plug 4. Noticeable rolling ball weight as you move, not too big to wear long-term.
- If you’re into expansive butt plugs already: Then you can handle some stretch. The Snug Plugs’ necks make them easy, but the weight of the sizes 6 and 7 is substantial. I’ve gotten to size 6 and find myself wanting to remove it after 2 hours. Size 7 would be difficult to wear over the course of the day, due to its heavy weight. Perhaps even damaging. Think of how long you plan to wear the Snug Plug, and consider going a size smaller if you do want all-day wear (safety tips). Again, I like Snug Plug 5 best. Though I can accommodate soft plugs with greater girth, I find this large-not-massive #5 weighted plug easier.

If you’re familiar with softer silicone plugs (Egg Plug / anything SuperSoft silicone by SquarePeg; Oxballs smoke Ergo, Topped Toys – which directly imitate SquarePegToys), then those super-soft plugs compress marginally. Since the b-Vibe Snug Plugs don’t compress inward: I’d say to buy a slightly smaller width in the Snug Plug vs. your comfortable size for a soft silicone plug.

But what about the weight and size of Njoy Pure Plugs‘ stainless steel, vs. the Snugs?
Snug Plug vs. Pure Plug, Weight and Shape
First, b-Vibe Snug Plugs’ cylindrical body occupies more space vs. the Njoy Pure Plugs‘ focused bulb. More volume, much more insertable length in the Snugs.
But, the Pure Plugs’ 316 stainless steel is denser. A heavier material. And they have no open air space for beads to roll in, as the Snug Plugs do. Therefore a smaller Pure Plug feels as weighted as a larger Snug Plug. Full Pure Plug weight dimensions in this table. I would compare the sizes as follows:

- Pure Plug small (about 5oz.) is closest to Snug Plug size 2.
- Pure Plug medium (almost 8oz.) is between Snug Plug 3 and 4, but closest to S.P. size 4.
- Pure Plug large (11.75oz.) is halfway between Snug Plug 4 and 5. SnugP. Size 5 will be a small step-up in weight – but has a more voluminous body; longer insert. length. See the middle one of the Snug Plugs’ silvery shapes above – that’s Pure Plug large – vs. the light blue Snug Plug 5 above.
- Pure Plug 2.0 is a weight, that’s fantastic for prostate pressure. The Snug Plugs don’t have the same curve, so don’t expect any hands-free P-spot action here. In terms of weight only, the Pure Plug 2.0 is most like the Snug Plug size 7 – while its area is more like the Snug Plug size 6. Snug Plug size 6 will be an easier transition from the Pure Plug 2.0.
