The Pure Plugs run smaller overall vs. super-soft stretcher plugs. Besides the Pure Plug 2.0, it’s hard to get a Pure Plug you won’t be able to comfortably use within 1–2 months or less – if you’re working up in girth consistently.

Njoy Stainless Steel vs. Knockoff Brands – Material
You 100% get what you pay for, with metal sex toys.
The cheap ones are low-quality. They use aluminum underneath, and arrive with nicks and scratches in the stainless coat.
For example, I purchased a Pure Plug imitation by a “Red Rouge” brand from a certain retailer whose initials match an important pelvic muscle group. This plug was just not good. Nicked up, lighter weight vs. same size Pure Plug, doesn’t feel the same. This is not quality, and you don’t want aluminum plugs for extended wear – the same as how you don’t want to use cheap aluminum cookware, where leaching and toxicity are concerns.
Cheap metal “jewel plugs” may also have the “jewels” come unglued and fall right off.
In contrast, Njoy’s 316 stainless is “medical-grade.” It’s the most durable metal compound, used in surgical tools because of its superior corrosion resistance and non-porosity.
I’ve bought legitimate Pure Plugs at Peepshow Toys (wide range of body-safe toys, no PVC) and from Njoy, both the same price.
Sizing a Pure Plug vs. other classic butt plugs / as a beginner
Which Njoy Plug size to buy:
- Anal beginner? You can manage the Pure Plug small if you if spend a good 5–10 minutes warming your hole up prior. It is not as tapered as a good beginner plug set, so proceed slowly until you sense your ass pulling the Pure Plug bulb inside, delicious.
- Some experience, but infrequent anal plugger. Medium Pure Plug will work well here: this is how my gf is. She doesn’t plug often, but she knows how to insert safely – so, add some coconut oil and 5 minutes asshole teasing and she’s on her way with medium size.
- Intermediate user and you love butt plugs with presence. Large Pure Plug’s size doesn’t indicate how weighty it is. This is the best butt plug if you’re used to plugging and want something more. The large Pure Plug is imposing but also very wearable.
- Prostate pro / advanced user. Pure Plug 2.0, of course. The best metal plug no question, for me. Worth it for the prostate focused weight.
Comparable feel in the best classic silicone plugs:
Medium Pure Plug will feel more like 1.5″ diam. in a super-soft material (closest to small Egg Plug) or 1.4″ in the Snug Plug (size 3).
Large Pure Plug will feel more like 1.75″ diam. in a super-soft material (closest to medium Egg Plug) or 1.6″ in the Snug Plug (size 3).
2.0 Pure Plug is so weighty, it’s not directly comparable to soft silicone plugs. It’s closest to the Snug Plug 5. 333 grams for Pure Plug 2.0 vs. 378 grams for Snug Plug 5. The Snug Plug does penetrate deeper: 5.75″ insertable length, vs. 3.45″ for the Plug Plug 2.0
Njoy Pure Plug Design
- Big weighty bulb. Even the medium and large (just 1.53″) dominate your anal canal. You’re gonna remember its stainless steel with every step, with how the weight is concentrated in this flattened, tapered bulb. The Pure Plug’s tip isn’t a simple cone. It’s flatter on the sides, finalizing in a smoothed line of a tip. The level of pressure as you gently insert it – letting your anal canal pull the Pure Plug in – is incredible.
- The curve. The Pure Plug’s arched neck makes it press forward (in the direction of your penis & belly), like any P-spot toy. The curve makes Pure Plug large more arousing, and Pure Plug 2.0 can be orgasmic right after full insertion. For women, the curve can add G-spot stimulation as they’re being penetrated vaginally.

Why Pure Plug 2.0 Is My Favorite
Incredible. The Njoy Pure Plug 2.0 is the 1 butt plug I can insert, and reach a hands-free dry prostate orgasm in < 1 minute.
I warmup with a smaller plug first for a couple minutes, then get the Pure Plug 2.0 ready. Holding the middle + back of the loop grip as I ease it in – finally feeling my anal canal pull its heft right in – then I let go and ride the wave. Other times I do need to hold the ring and angle it more drastically, or gently rock it to get the most pleasure.
It’s about the curve and the pressure. Indented, the Pure Plug 2.0 has 4 ovoid crevices. This gives it 0.79″ diameter of solid P-spot contact zone. That’s akin to the width of most Aneros massagers. Focused on the spot.

Precautions: Caring for a Pure Plug’s 316 Stainless Steel
316 stainless steel isn’t dangerous / remains nontoxic if small marks appear in the “mirror polished” finish. But it just doesn’t look as good if scratched. To avoid imperfections in your Njoy toys:
- Don’t sit them down on a hard surface. (For example, the tile in our pics for this guide.) Avoid putting your Pure Plug directly on a hard bathroom counter. Sometimes I’m juggling a few anal toys I need to wash, and have to lay the Pure Plug on a towel pre-wash.
- Don’t drop them on the floor. This is the best way to get a real dent in a Pure Plug.
- Store separately, like in the box that comes with each Pure Plug. You don’t want the plug clanking against any other hard materials inside a toy drawer.
Silicone Lubricant = Pure Plug Plus
Njoy Pure Plugs are safe with silicone lubricant. You may have a strong preference for silicone lube because it lasts forever (not really, but many hours) but is less oily vs. coconut oil. But silicone lubricant makes silicone toys slick and almost slimy. It’s difficult to remove.
No worries with Njoy’s stainless and silicone lubricant, since the lube washes off really well – almost as easily as water-based lubricant. All lubricants can be used on an Njoy Pure Plug, there are no restrictions.
