b-Vibe Stainless Steel Prostate Plug and Stainless Steel Anal Beads, 2-Plug Review

Not bad – but imitative. I truly enjoy the weight of the stainless-steel wonder plug, the Njoy Pure Plug. Its large size is unforgettable long-term butt plugging, while the 2.0 Pure Plug is a weight that arouses my P-spot like nuts. I don’t expect that level of greatness from the b-Vibe stainless steel anal plugs, then:

Even though the Prostate Plug by b-Vibe is obviously a copy of the Aneros Helix. Whomp-whomp. I was skeptical, but wanted to see my estimation of the Helix-with-greater-weight wasn’t inaccurate. So I bought one.

Why not pick up the butt-beads, too, while I’m here… I surveyed all b-Vibe’s steel stuff. Against my better judgement, I opted in for these two plugs despite seeing the curved “Le Wand” that’s clearly the Njoy Pure Wand with a couple extra bumps on the big end, and the one that’s the Njoy Eleven… there may be a pattern here. *cough*rippedoffdesigns*cough*

Anyway. This is my honest review of the two BVibe stainless steel plugs I got: the obvs.-Aneros one and the 3-bead one. And let’s size ’em up while we’re here:

b-Vibe Prostate Plug Review

Pros & Cons vs. Aneros Helix

Pros

  • Incredibly slick in a way silicone cannot be.
  • Expert shape (designed by Aneros 20 years ago, appropriated by bVibe a couple years ago).
  • Any lubricant is compatible.
  • Flared base.
  • Stainless steel’s weight is impressive, but:

Cons

  • Weighty material doesn’t respond easily to small anal contractions = Hands-free O’s are less likely.
  • No perineal acupressure point.

My Experience with Steel Prostate Plug & How to Use

First let’s look at how Aneros toys work: since 2001–2002, they’ve been designed to move themselves for hands-free prostate orgasms. Aneros massagers function as your anal muscles begin to automatically clench around them – then your body (and brain!) work in a positive feedback loop of increasing pleasure. It can be an ebb and flow: sometimes you’re so turned on, but don’t quite reach the Super O. But oh boy, when you’re in the zone, you’re in the zone with Aneros.

So how’s that relate to this b-Vibe plug? Well, as Aneros’ original chief product tester has said, “All [Aneros are] configured to produce powerful sensations from small muscular contractions.” [bold added, from Aneros XBiz profile, 3/9/2021]

Your ass’s minute clenches move Aneros plugs since they’re all light weight. Aneros prostate massagers are plastic primarily (some with a thin silicone coat). They are not dense like stainless steel.

I’d anticipated that the missing tabs (P-tab and K-tab) on the B-vibe Prostate Plug wouldn’t let it rock & apply perineum pressure as Aneros products do. The b-Vibe Prostate Plug cannot be a hands-free stimulator. You cannot lie back, and let your ass and the toy cooperate.

So I set to rocking the plug forward with my hands:

  • Lying on my side with my top leg bent on top,
  • I reached my right arm around my butt,
  • And started tapping on the back of the BVibe prostate plug base.

The semi-distracting position did allow me to feel the full force of the Helix-shape against my spot. The Stainless Steel is sized right, and the weight feels nice.

But the plug twisted soon, so the internal pressure ridges were off-center, also distracting.

I was able to orgasm in a weak way after a few minutes. I’m lucky that I can reach a P-spot “O” relatively quickly now, I think more than most guys who like prostate stuff. So it was *an* orgasm, but it wasn’t a great orgasm.

Lying on my side with the weight in was interesting for a minute, but I got bored and just cannot focus like I can with Aneros, because this toy will not respond to my anal canal’s small clenching motions.

Would I buy it again?

I mean, it’s an experience, but probably not. I got it for the novelty of stainless Aneros, but really, there’s a logical reason why Aneros doesn’t make stainless steel toys. They just don’t work well with the hands-free feedback loop method that is central to Aneros. I don’t think this was a good buy on my part.

But what about the B-vibe Stainless Beads – would they be a better choice?

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Firm steel is intense as the beads move.
  • Plenty of pressure.
  • Very slick and smooth.
  • Works with silicone lubricant.
  • Flared base.

Cons

  • Not wearable – this plug slides out when you stand and walk.
  • Hard to hold and move.
  • I wanted more girth for a last bead.

Testing the b-Vibe Stainless Beads plug

I warmed the stainless steel under warm water first, then applied lubricant to my butt. The first bead is tiny, yet its hard weight made me notice it, full attention.

The transition between beads is perfect on paper, as anal stretching in 0.25″–0.3″ diameter upward increments is the safest progression.

The second bead was also quite easy to get in, though the 0.23″ diameter raise feels more a hike in bead form – I really had to warm up, via 5 minutes’ slow probing, to get it all in.

Then, the first bead seemed small when I was gently jerking it into my rectum. I tried it “forward” (tip facing prostate) and “backward” (tip facing spine). It is a very strategic prostate-pointer – though again the positioning isn’t amazing. It’s a lot of reaching backwards.

When I saw the size before testing, I assumed the final bead would leave me wanting more. I’m very much a fan of wide anal stretching toys, whereas this is more beginner level. But, with how heavy the stainless is – over a pound, only 33% less vs. the Pure Wand’s weight – it SO seems like it’s larger, inside. With over 5″ of unyielding length, too – this toy does not bend – any more would seem like overkill.

It’s been a fun play time with the Beads, even if they’re not the simplest tool to position. They are the polar opposite of yielding super-soft silicone, so be prepared.

Best Way to Use Anal Bead Plugs

These Stainless Beads are not traditional long anal beads, like (formerly) literal beads on a thick string, which was super unhygienic. There are silicone beads with silicone “strings” now, which are safer long-term, bacteria-wise.

Though any variety of traditional beads-on-string shape is stressful on the sphincters, and (as they usually are) if the beads are much over 1.25″ diameter, they’ll probably be creating micro-tears or even fissures in your ass.

So, progressively spaced “beads” that don’t narrow or drop-off as much between beads are safer to move inside. That’s good. These beads are progressively sized enough, but ideally, there would be one more interval between bead #2 and #3 for gentle sphincter-expanding thrust.

At 4.75″ length (insertable), the B-Vibe Stainless Beaded Plug’s upper bead will reach the prostate (and likely overshoot it, if you’re sitting on this plug). So you have to know what you’re going for. This is a medium long stimulator, and can be an interesting prostate toy – as long as you have something under the base, to keep it from un-inserting itself.

Would I buy it again?

I like this plug but am not sure it’ll ever be a favorite. I didn’t mind the cost, and it’s effective if you don’t mind holding under the base. I wish it had another couple inches, to use as a handle – but that would make it heavier and more expensive too. Because the weight of the stainless makes it try to slide out of my ass quickly if I walk with the b-Vibe Stainless Beads in, and it’s hard to move manually, don’t expect to take it on a walk.

Reflecting, I see why Njoy’s butt plugs are much shorter and have the open-oval base, tilted to fit between ass cheeks – not a weighty flat full oval base. Though safely flared, that feature too makes this b-Vibe stainless sex toy not a truly wearable butt plug. The b-Vibe Stainless plug’s neck length could also be longer: 0.75–0.8″ would be ideal.

B-Vibe Stainless Plug Summary

I think the B-vibe Stainless toys are a great quality material – that’s some of the cost. It cleans up easily, no butt odor is retained, and it’s very slick. It does not nick easily. And they come with a padded drawstring bag, where the padding is nice, but a zipper closure would be preferable.

I liked the idea of the weighted Aneros, but the weight and lack of P-tab and K-tab make this not a hands-free toy. It doesn’t move via involuntary anal contractions, I had to tap its base by hand to get it working on my spot.

It was enjoyable but not Super-O-level, like I can reach with real Aneros, not knockoff Aneros.

The Stainless Anal Beads are good. And I like the slickness. I do just wish there was more length to hang onto to move these well. The oval base is sufficiently flared yet not the easiest to hang onto while moving the beads inside my hole. It’s… difficult. The weight and hardness of the steel is impressive, however.

But on the other hand, the weight (over a pound) combined with the short neck length (0.66″) make this Anal Beads not a wearable-while-you-walk butt plug – it will slip out. You must be sitting or lying down. Again this makes this b-Vibe Stainless Steel sex toy a divided vote: neither bad, nor a great butt plug.
